Follow Me to the Cross: Jesus Restores Your Relationship (Contemporary)

Today in Worship we continue our Lenten sermon series, “Follow Me to the Cross,” which invites us to explore the different ways that the cross of Christ brings redemption or Atonement (at-one-ment with God). As we journey with Jesus to his death and then his resurrection, we’ll seek to more deeply understand the ways that the cross ultimately stands as an expression of God’s love for us. This week, we’ll talk about Reconciliation Atonement theory by looking at Acts 22:1-21. We will remember that God’s greatest goal is to bring us into relationship with him. We will also see how Jesus is the bridge that empowers us to bridge the divide between ourselves and God, and ourselves and the world. For deeper study during this Lenten journey, we encourage you to read the book, “Savior – What the Bible Says About the Cross” by Magrey R. deVega, which the pastors will be referencing throughout this series.
