Follow Me to the Cross
Children's Easter Musical: Christ the Lord is Risen Today
Today in Worship, we continue our Lenten sermon series, “Follow Me to the Cross,” which invites us to explore the different ways that the cross of Christ brings redemption or Atonement (at-one-ment with God). As we journey with Jesus to his death and then his resurrection, we’ll seek to more deeply understand the ways that the cross ultimately stands as an expression of God’s love for us. This week, we have the special privilege of hearing the Easter story sung and acted out in two special worship opportunities. In Traditional Worship, we will have the cantata, Jesus! The Resurrection, and in Contemporary Worship we will share in the Children’s Play, Christ the Lord is Risen Today. For deeper study during this Lenten journey, we encourage you to read the book, “Savior – What the Bible Says About the Cross” by Magrey R. deVega, which the pastors will be referencing throughout this series
