Today in Worship, we continue our Advent sermon series, “Declutter Christmas.”
Advent is the season of the Christian calendar that turns our hearts towards the anticipated arrival of Christmas. During Advent, God calls us to prepare our hearts for the infant Savior, Jesus Christ, by removing anything that stands in the way of his making a home within us. This week, we will think about Decluttering with Joy as we read Luke 1:39-56. As Mary and Elizabeth experience the joy of their miraculous pregnancies, we will learn with them what it means to trust in the joy of God’s miraculous kingdom at work in our lives.
