Today in Worship we begin our Advent sermon series, “Declutter Christmas.” Advent is the season of the Christian calendar that turns our hearts towards the anticipated arrival of Christmas. During Advent, God calls us to prepare our hearts for the infant Savior, Jesus Christ, by removing anything that stands in the way of his making a home within us. This week, we will begin to Declutter Christmas by focusing on the Hope that Christ brings as we read Luke 21:25-28. As we wait with hope for God to return again, and our redemption to arrive, we’ll think together about how we can better focus on Jesus as the center of our lives.
