Loving God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Thank you for this 321st Anniversary of Independence Day, reminding us of the signing of abiding documents that give us lasting aspirations of hope, peace, and joy in our day and beyond.  May all of humankind soon discover the joy to be found at the Cross of Christ and in the Finished Work of our Lord in life, death, and resurrection.  Thank you for the Gospel of Peace and for the privilege to embrace it freely in our day and in nations all over the world.

We  pray for the local churches and congregations.  Let these summer days be a time for renewal, refreshment, and revival in great worship, prayer, preaching and teaching.  Grant a Special Blessing to those who minister in support of this great work of God in our day.  Bless the total scope of that ministry in the summer days and nights.

Thank you for being the God of all comfort.  Bless those who faithfully reach out to the sick, suffering, and dying ones, giving them refreshment and hope for the whole future,  Praise God that Heaven is a Free Gift, offered freely to those who bend the knee at the Cross of Christ and answer His Call to faith and trust and forgiveness.

In a world that seems bent on destruction, let the Gospel of Peace be heralded to all world leaders, nations, kindred, and tongues.  Give special wisdom to all National Leaders, including our President and those who advise him.  Stir up the whole body of government, legislative, justice, and executive.  Teach them the secret of working together in meeting the massive challenges of these Last days.

We pray all this in the Name of Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God.
