How to Schedule a Wedding at Suntree UMC
We at Suntree UMC thank you for considering our beautiful facility for your wedding.
Suntree UMC charges a one-time, all-inclusive fee to cover expenses. The fees are $575.00 for church members and $800.00 for non-members. This cost includes the following; minister, wedding coordinator, organist and sound/light technician. The additional $100 for non-members is for use of the facility.
Even the simplest wedding requires preparation, so it is important that you set a date as early as possible with the church. A 3-4 month minimum for scheduling the date is requested.
Once you have decided on your wedding date, call the church office at 242-2585 to ask if the date you are requesting is available. Your request is then forwarded to our facility coordinator. If the date is available, a $175.00 deposit is required to reserve the Wedding and Rehearsal date. This deposit is subtracted from your total fee and is also refundable. Once the deposit is received, your information is forwarded to those SUMC staff members involved in the wedding. They will then contact you.
It is expected that one of our ministers officiate at all weddings. If you desire the presence of another minister, that person will assist in the ceremony at the discretion of the officiating minister. At the time of placing the request for your wedding date, you may place a special request for one of our ministers or one will be appointed for you.
In lieu of pre-marital counseling, the minister requires the couple to participate in a one-day Marriage Seminar. These seminars are scheduled periodically throughout the year. The cost is $50 per couple, which includes workbooks, lunch and snacks. The course is accepted by Brevard County and will save you $32.50 on the purchase of your Marriage License.
