Theology at the Tavern Check back later for our Fall, 2008 dates and topics. In today’s world, what’s relevant can be stated in very finite terms. For most, a good job and money to pay the bills is on the radar screen, with some left over for recreation. Genuine friends, who are there for both the good times and bad, accepting you despite your flaws, is important. Family and good health fits into the relevance picture. And for some, faith -- meaning a person’s relationship to God and the infinite -- fits somewhere in-between the rest. Where it fits depends on the types of questions one asks and finds answers to. Theology at the Tavern is a series of discussions, facilitated by Co-Senior Pastor John Hill, on faith topics held at Pizza Gallery & Grill at the Avenue in Viera. It’s an alternative way of reaching people who want to have some of the hard questions in life addressed. The evening program begins at 7 p.m. with a brief introduction to a topic. Pastor Hill then invites everyone to participate by asking his or her own questions or ideas. The evening concludes about 8:30 p.m. If you have a thirst for knowledge or unanswered questions come early, grab a bite to eat and then join the discussion! This is a great opportunity to invite a friend or co-worker to come hear the Good News. |
