Church Without Walls
Suntree United Methodist Church is committed to ministry activity beyond the walls of our local church. We are involved in a number of missionary outreaches of both a local and global nature.
Local Programs
Habitat for Humanity - We have partnered in the building of a number of houses, and just recently completed our solely funded home. Our plan calls for building three more houses in the next three years.
The Florida United Methodist Children's Home - The church has a long history of providing mission service work to the children's home (for example, help with construction work and donations of necessities and funds).
We are also active in our participation with a wide variety of other organizations including: Salvation Army Disciple Program for the Homeless, Daily Bread and Resurrection Ranch.
National and International
Activities include a covenant relationship through the General Board of Global Ministries to support missionaries in various places around the world. We have accepted Covenant relationships with missionaries in: Panama, West Virginia, and Bulgaria.
Our church also participates in Advance Special projects such as mission service trips to Costa Rica and Honduras.
