Music Ministries
These are opportunities for ministry through music for all age groups. If you like to worship the Lord by the giving of your musical talents, there is a place for you at Suntree United Methodist Church.
Adult Choir
Traditional Choirs sing at the 9:30 and 11:00 am services every week and at various holiday services throughout the year. Practice is held Thursday evenings, 7:30 pm.
Contemporary Worship Team
This team is comprised of vocalists, a keyboard player, pianist and various other instrumentalists. The team leads the 9:15 & 11:00am contemporary service and rehearses Monday evenings.
Adult Ensembles
There are various adult vocal ensembles which participate at worship services and as an outreach in the community.
Adult Handbell/Chime Choir
This group rehearses weekly and participates in worship on an occasional basis and at other special events.
Children's Choirs
Several children's choirs sing occasionally during worship services and at other functions throughout the year. Practice is Wednesday evenings during Journey.
Orchestra
A group of instrumentalists who gather periodically to participate in worship services and other church functions.
M.A.D. (Music, Arts and Drama) Week
A one-week summer experience for children from rising-second through sixth grades. They participate in singing, set decoration and drama in preparation for a full-length production which is presented on the last evening of the week.
Sound, Light & Video
The Sound & Light Team is a group of volunteers who assist our Sound Technician in the sound booth on Sunday mornings, at rehearsals and during other special events. Training is provided.
Video Team - Our team of volunteers videotapes our worship services and other special events. They also prepare special video presentations used in worship. Training is provided.
Drama Team
Our Drama Team meets weekly to develop the skills of their ministry and to prepare for Sunday morning drama sketches as well as other special events. There are many areas to serve in this ministry such as acting, directing, production, set decoration, stage crew, and costumes.
Visual Arts
Powerpoint Team - This team of volunteers prepare Powerpoint presentations for Sunday morning announcements and worship.
We have many other areas where volunteers may serve, including Ushers, Greeters, Parking Stewards, Acolytes, Flower Arrangers, etc. Contact the church office for more information, (321) 242-2585.
