Please call Ellen Lane in the church office at 242-2585. Thank You Suntree UMC The Jan. 6 Blood Drive had 26 donors registered and 22 units collected which can save up to 66 lives in Brevard County. Next blood drive is scheduled for Sunday, March 2. Leadership Summit Video Tapes If you are in possession of these tapes, please return them to the church office or call Kathleen Fritch, 242-2585, ext. 1126. JOURNEY dinner menu Wed., Jan. 16 is ravioli with marinara, garlic bread, mixed vegetables, salad and dessert. Bring a friend! Singles’ Ministry Sunday School Class Come join us for Bible study in Room 108 at 11 am - 12 noon. Our next study will be “Bible Study Methods” by Rick Warren. Also, we indulge in after school activities. Theology at the Tavern led by Pastor John Hill, will meet tomorrow night, 7 - 8:30 pm at Pizza Gallery at the Avenue in Viera. Topic: Is There a God? (Get there by 6:30 pm if you plan to get a bite to eat.) Bring a friend! Free Concert by Space Coast Chapter of the American Guild of Organists next Sunday at 4 pm in the Sanctuary. The program in part will pay tribute to the late concert pianist/comedian Victor Borge and will include organists, featuring our own Tom Taylor, and soloists from SUMC, Dr. Robert E. Lamb, Joan McMahon and Lori Taylor in a rather unusual concert of favorite classical organ works with a unique twist. Donations are encouraged to benefit the Resurrection Ranch. Christmas Season Volunteers thank you for the extra effort and time that you gave to set-up, tear down, usher, greet, serve in the kitchen, prepare candles and other areas. Our programs succeed with the help of volunteers! Christian Radio WCIF (106.3 FM) on January 23 will be making announcements throughout the day that Suntree UMC is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Plan to make it part of your day as you will be surprised at how interesting & inspirational this radio station can be. Disciple Gathering will meet here on the Suntree UMC campus on Saturday, January 26, 8 am - 8 pm. Students and alumni are invited for a full day of praise, worship, study, prayer, fellowship breakfast, lunch & dinner. Students use the registration forms in your disciple packet. Alumni may get forms from the church office. Deadline for registration is Today! Citrus Gleaning Drop off your “citrus” fruit to share with those less fortunate here at the church on January 26. We need fruit & pickers. Call Bob Van Kley at 242-2585 to get involved. Join TNT on Friday, April 4, for a nostalgic 3 hour train ride starting on the shore of Lake Eustis. This is an evening trip and has a 4 course dinner. Departure time is 3 pm. Cost is $87. Call Jerry Shipp at 751-7014. SUMC’s Caravan to Cuba departs Feb. 5. Remember them in your prayers. Over the counter medications, which are not available in Cuba, are desperately needed. Please make your checks payable to SUMC and marked “for Cuba medicines”. Please call Connie (482-5906) or Nat (255-6925) if you make a contribution. A record of benefactors is kept to be lifted in prayer. Needed: Christmas Bazaar Co-chairpersons for 2008. The planning needs to start in the next couple of months. If you are interested in participating in this outreach event, please contact the church office or Patty Rexrode 259-9068. Daily Bread Continue to remember the needs for Daily Bread, such as blankets, jackets, sweaters, jeans, long-sleeved shirts. Please bring your items to the designated containers. Church Leaders! Saturday, Feb. 2, is the date for this year’s Atlantic Central District Training Event in West Palm Beach. Many classes are offered in a wide variety of ministries and church roles. For more info, pick up a brochure in the church office or go to FLUMC.org and look under Atlantic Central District Events.
